About Switch Your Trips

Welcome to Switch Your Trips WA, a month-long promotion held every October that encourages Washingtonian residents, workers, and students to choose sustainable trip options for a healthier Washington.

Switch Your Trips WA is organized by the Washington State Ridesharing Organization, specifically its Promotional Advisory Committee (PAC). Funding for Switch Your Trips WA comes from local and county governments, Washington State Department of Transportation, and corporate sponsors.

Washington State Ridesharing Organization

Founded in 1988, the Washington State Ridesharing Organization (WSRO) is a statewide 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization whose mission is to support and inspire transportation demand management (TDM) practitioners in Washington state to increase the use of sustainable transportation options through hosting an annual conference, providing educational resources, and convening forums to share best practices.

Promotional Advisory Committee

The Promotional Advisory Committee (PAC) is a volunteer group of transportation demand management practitioners from across Washington state. The PAC includes individuals from the following organizations:

  • City of Bellevue
  • City of Seattle
  • Downtown on the Go
  • King County Metro
  • Kitsap Transit
  • Microsoft
  • Move Redmond
  • Pierce County
  • Spokane County
  • Thurston Regional Planning Council
  • Yakima Valley Council of Governments
